Paper Cutting

Paper cutting, the traditional Chinese folk art, is frequently used to make auspicious festival adornments.

In the activities of Zhengzhou Cultural Creativity Week, we saw young people getting involved in this ancient folk tradition. The twin sisters in the picture fell in love with paper cutting, and they went everywhere to learn from teachers and non-material cultural heritage inheritors, integrated their hobby into their lives.

Paper Cutting combine images of multiple objects together, and produce ideal results to express their own psychology, the pursuit of auspicious metaphor has become one of the ultimate goals of image combination.

In ancient China, geographical isolation and cultural limitations, as well as the intrusion of adversity such as natural disasters, stimulated people's desire for a happy life.

People pray for plenty of food and clothing, prosperity, health and longevity, and pray all the best. Their simple wishes will be conveyed by paper cutting.
